Terms and conditions

Plain-English terms for our lawn care service. No legalese, no small print. Last updated: February 2026.

The service

Greener Lawn Care provides lawn care as described in the plan agreed at your free lawn survey. The specific treatments, schedule, and visit frequency depend on your plan and lawn condition. We will discuss everything at the survey before you commit to anything.

Payment

You pay a fixed monthly amount via GoCardless direct debit, spread evenly over 12 months. Your price is confirmed at the survey and locked for the 12-month period. No surprise bills or hidden charges.

Mowing visits

Mowing plans include about 30 visits per year on a weekly schedule, or about 15 on a fortnightly schedule, running roughly mid-March to mid-October. The exact number of visits depends on season length and weather conditions. We do not guarantee a specific number of visits. We only count a visit as delivered when it actually takes place.

Cancellation

Plans run in 12-month cycles to allow the full seasonal programme to be delivered. After the initial 12 months, you continue month-to-month with 30 days' notice to cancel. To cancel, contact us via the contact form.

On cancellation, we settle fairly by value. We compare the payments you have made against the value of visits and treatments delivered. If you have paid more than the value delivered, we refund the difference. If the value delivered exceeds your payments, we invoice the difference. This ensures nobody overpays and the service provided is fairly compensated.

Our responsibilities

We will:

  • Deliver the agreed service to a professional standard
  • Communicate clearly about upcoming visits, treatments applied, and any issues we notice
  • Respond to messages within 24 hours on working days

Your responsibilities

  • Provide clear access to your lawn on agreed visit days
  • Let us know about changes that might affect the service (new pets, garden events, access restrictions)
  • Water newly seeded areas as advised after overseeding

Liability

Our liability is limited to the cost of your plan for the relevant period. We are not liable for damage caused by weather, acts of nature, pests, disease, or pre-existing lawn conditions that were noted at the survey.

Weather

We prioritise lawn health and a clean finish over forcing a cut in bad weather. We may reschedule visits due to frozen ground, waterlogged soil, extreme heat, or drought. We reschedule whenever conditions allow and will let you know.

Photographs

We may photograph your lawn's progress for use on our website and marketing materials. We will always ask your permission before using photos that could identify your property. You can withdraw permission at any time.

Changes to these terms

We will give you at least 30 days' notice of any changes to these terms. Continued use of the service after the notice period means you accept the updated terms.

Disputes

If you have a concern, contact us directly via the contact form first. We aim to resolve all issues informally. If we cannot reach an agreement, the laws of England and Wales apply.
